Sura Al-Baqra is Medinan Sura.

Sura Al-Baqra is  Medinan Sura,In Arabic  سورة البقرة which means"The Cow".It is second Sura of Holy Qur'an.It contain 286Aya(verses),40Rukus,6121Words,25500Latters,Hazrat Ibn Abbas said Al Baqra is first verse which reveald on Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)  in Medina,The Sura's name references verses (Al-Baqra 66–72) which recall the story of a heifer sacrificed by the Israelites.The most notable passage Ayat Al-Kursi(Throne verse)is include in this sura.
In this sura Allah Subhan Wa Ta'la Address a wide variety of topics, including substantial amounts of law, and retells stories of Adam, Abraham and Moses.The major theme of ths sura is guidance urging the pagans (Al-Mushrikeen) and the Jews of Medina to embrace Islam,and warning them to their hypocrites by telling that Allah Subhan Wa Ta'la had visited in the past on those who failed to heed His call.Many of the stories in this chapter are shared to help people understand theological truth.Condemnation of alcoholic beverages and gambling is also first found in the Ayat,All the Thing in this universe is creted BY Allah Subhan Wa Ta'la,So worshi Him.
In Holy Qu'ran Allah Subhan Wa Ta'la Says
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
 "O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous"(Surah 2 Al Baqara, Ayah 21)
كَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَكُنْتُمْ أَمْوَاتًا فَأَحْيَاكُمْ ۖ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
"How can you disbelieve in Allah when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you(back) to life, and then to Him you will be returned"
(Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 28)
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالنَّصَارَىٰ وَالصَّابِئِينَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
"Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve"
(Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 62)
